Une bibliothèque de notification d'événements

L'API libevent fournit un mécanisme pour exécuter une fonction de rappel lorsqu'un événement spécifique se produit sur un descripteur de fichier ou après qu'un délai d'attente a été atteint. De plus, libevent prend également en charge les rappels dus aux signaux ou aux délais d'attente réguliers. Actuellement, libevent prend en charge /dev/poll, kqueue(2), les event ports, POSIX select(2), Windows select(), poll(2) et epoll(4). Libevent fournit en outre un cadre sophistiqué pour les E/S réseau tamponnées, avec prise en charge des sockets, des filtres, de la limitation de débit, de SSL, de la transmission de fichiers sans copie et d'IOCP. Libevent inclut la prise en charge de plusieurs protocoles utiles, notamment DNS, HTTP et un cadre RPC minimal. Ce paquet contient les bibliothèques partagées de libevent.
