Serial-over-lan-(sol)-Client für Intel AMT

AMT (enthalten in Intel vPro und Centrino Pro) bietet Out-of-Band- (OOB-)Verwaltung für Desktops und Laptops über einen Agenten, der in den Netzwerkadapter und die Hauptplatine integriert ist. Serial-over-lan bietet eine (sichere) Möglichkeit, einen entfernten Computer über eine Pseudo-Seriellschnittstelle zu verbinden. IDE-redirection ermöglicht den entfernten Zugriff auf ein virtuelles Laufwerk, das z. B. für Installation oder Booten verwendet werden kann. Dieses Paket stellt 2 Terminals (amtterm und gamt) bereit, um von einem entfernten Computer aus eine Verbindung zu dieser Pseudo-Seriellschnittstelle herzustellen. amttool ist ein Perl-Skript zum Abrufen von Informationen über und zur entfernten Steuerung von AMT-verwalteten Computern. Ein zusätzliches Programm (amtider) unterstützt IDE-redirection.
