Monitor di cambiamenti dei file multipiattaforma

fswatch è un monitor di cambiamenti dei file che riceve notifiche quando i contenuti dei file o delle directory specificati vengono modificati. fswatch implementa diversi monitor basati su: * la File System Events API di Apple macOS. * kqueue, un'interfaccia di notifica introdotta in FreeBSD 4.1 (e supportata sulla maggior parte dei sistemi *BSD, incluso macOS). * la File Events Notification API del kernel Solaris e dei suoi derivati. * inotify, un sottosistema del kernel Linux che segnala i cambiamenti del file system alle applicazioni. * ReadDirectoryChangesW, un'API di Microsoft Windows che segnala i cambiamenti a una directory. * Un monitor che periodicamente esegue stats sul file system, salva i tempi di modifica dei file in memoria e calcola manualmente i cambiamenti del file system (che funziona ovunque si possa usare stat(2)).
