Eine Bibliothek für clientseitiges HTTP

Das Paket HTTP unterstützt clientseitige Webprogrammierung in Haskell. Es ermöglicht das Einrichten von HTTP-Verbindungen, das Senden von Anfragen und die Verarbeitung der zurückkommenden Antworten – alles aus dem Komfort von Haskell heraus. Es ist vom Paket network abhängig, ansonsten ist die Implementierung vollständig in Haskell geschrieben. Eine grundlegende API zum Ausstellen einzelner HTTP-Anfragen und Empfangen von Antworten wird bereitgestellt. Darauf aufbauend wird auch eine Sitzungsabstraktion angeboten (die Monad 'BrowserAction'); sie kümmert sich um die Verwaltung persistenter Verbindungen, Proxys, Zustand (Cookies) und Authentifizierungsdaten, die für mehrstufige Interaktionen mit einem Webserver erforderlich sind. Die Darstellung der fließenden Bytes ist über eine Typklasse erweiterbar, sodass Sie die Darstellung von Anfragen und Antworten wählen können, die am besten zu Ihrer Verwendung passt. Einige vorgefertigte, gängige Instanzen werden bereitgestellt ('ByteString', 'String').
