TidyLib ist eine Bibliothek zum Bereinigen und Pretty-Printing von HTML-, XHTML- und XML- Markup in verschiedenen Dateicodierungen. Bei HTML-Varianten kann sie proprietäre Elemente sowie viele häufige Codierungsfehler erkennen und melden, diese korrigieren und visuell äquivalentes Markup erzeugen, das sowohl den W3C-Standards entspricht als auch in den meisten Browsern funktioniert. Darüber hinaus kann sie einfaches HTML in XHTML umwandeln. Bei generischen XML-Dateien beschränkt sich Tidy auf die Korrektur grundlegender Wohlgeformtheitsfehler und Pretty-Printing. Es gibt ein Kommandozeilen-Frontend für diese Bibliothek im Paket „tidy“.
