Aalto XML processor 是新一代超高性能 Stax XML 处理器实现，既实现了基本的 Stax API（javax.xml.stream）， 也实现了 Stax2 API 扩展（org.codehaus.woodstox.stax2）。此外，它还 实现了 SAX2 API。 除了标准的 Java XML 接口外，据我们所知，其他任何 Java XML 解析器都未实现的一个独特功能是所谓的 非阻塞（异步）XML 解析：无需使用阻塞 I/O 即可解析 XML 的能力，这对于完全异步处理（例如与 Akka 框架一起使用）是必要的。Aalto 非阻塞 API 是在 Stax/Stax2 API 之上的极简扩展，用于指示“尚未可用”的标记 （EVENT_INCOMPLETE）以及输入馈送（因为 InputStream 会阻塞， 故无法使用）。
