TidyLib es una biblioteca para limpiar y embellecer el marcado HTML, XHTML y XML en una variedad de codificaciones de archivo. En las variantes de HTML, puede detectar e informar de elementos propietarios, así como de muchos errores de codificación habituales, corregirlos y producir un marcado visualmente equivalente que cumple con los estándares W3C y funciona en la mayoría de los navegadores. Además, puede convertir HTML simple en XHTML. Para archivos XML genéricos, Tidy se limita a corregir errores básicos de buena formación y a embellecer el formato. Hay un frontend de línea de comandos para esta biblioteca, contenido en el paquete «tidy».
