Ferramentas para compor documentos monolingues em polaco em LaTeX2e sem babel ou polyglossia. O pacote carrega padrões de hifenização polacos, assegura que seja usada uma codificação de tipo de letra adequada ao polaco; em particular, ativa a adaptação polaca dos tipos de letra Computer Modern (os chamados PL fonts), fornece traduções de \today e de nomes como "Bibliography" ou "Chapter", redefine os símbolos matemáticos segundo a tradição tipográfica polaca, fornece macros para travessões segundo a ortografia polaca, oferece um método de entrada histórico para "Polish characters", funciona com TeX tradicional bem como com variantes conscientes de Unicode. (Este pacote era anteriormente conhecido como platex, mas foi renomeado para resolver um conflito de nomes.)
