fs/namei.c in Linux kernel 2.6.18 through 2.6.34 does not always follow NFS automount "symlinks," which allows attackers to have an unknown impact, related to LOOKUP_FOLLOW. kernel: fix LOOKUP_FOLLOW on automount "symlinks" This issue did not affect the versions of the Linux kernel as shipped with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 and 4 as this issue only affects kernel version 2.6.18 and onwards. A future update in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 and Red Hat Enterprise MRG may address this flaw.
