A flaw was found in H3, a minimal HTTP framework. A remote attacker can exploit a Timing Side-Channel vulnerability in the `requireBasicAuth` function. This vulnerability arises from the use of an unsafe string comparison, allowing the attacker to deduce valid passwords character-by-character by measuring the server's response time. This effectively bypasses password complexity protections, leading to unauthorized access. Red Hat Product Security has determined that this vulnerability does not affect any currently supported Red Hat product. This assessment may evolve based on further analysis and discovery.
