A flaw was found in Apache CXF. The JwsJsonContainerRequestFilter component can be exploited to process metadata that has not been authenticated by an accepted signature. This bypasses the application's security assumption that Content-Type or protected HTTP-header metadata originates from a verified source. This could lead to downstream JAX-RS entity parsing or signed-header consistency checks being steered incorrectly, potentially compromising data integrity or leading to unexpected application behavior. org.apache.cxf/cxf-rt-rs-security-jose-jaxrs: Apache CXF: Signature bypass due to unauthenticated metadata processing in JwsJsonContainerRequestFilter The CVSS score(s) listed for this vulnerability do not reflect the associated product's status, and are included for informational purposes to better understand the severity of this vulnerability.
