About this system

What the record says about the BeagleY-AI, in its own words.

A 70 dollar board with a Texas Instruments AM67A on it and four TOPS of accelerator for small vision and audio models. It is the cheapest machine here that can run inference locally without something hanging off a USB port.

Its real advantage is dull and important: the support is upstream. The kernel work for this chip is in mainline, so a distribution you build tracks it without a vendor tree, and it does not stop working the day the vendor loses interest. No board in this catalog has better support than that.

Four TOPS is small. It suits a camera classifying frames or a wake word, not a language model. It is also why there is no Jetson in this catalog: the Jetson is far faster, but its acceleration only works on NVIDIA's own kernel and Ubuntu build, so you would not be running the operating system you built.

Evidence

Runs the OS you build

Each row is a recorded observation, not a vendor promise. The evidence level says how far that observation was taken.

No operating system observation is published for this system yet. You can still build an image on console.openfactory.tech and test it before you order.

Build the image you plan to run on console.openfactory.tech, boot it in a test machine there, and order this system once you have seen it work.
