About this system

What the record says about the PINE64 PineTab2, in its own words.

The PineTab2 is a 10 inch tablet that runs desktop Linux on a Rockchip RK3566, with a detachable magnetic keyboard included. The bootloader, the kernel and the userland are all yours: no vendor account, no locked bootloader, no store deciding what runs.

It is developer hardware. PINE64's own wiki describes the software as alpha or beta quality and aimed solely at early adopters with extensive operating system experience. That sentence is theirs and it is the most useful one on this page. Buy this to work on mobile Linux, not to replace an iPad.

Two configurations are sold, 4 GB with 64 GB of storage and 8 GB with 128 GB. OpenFactory does not build images for this tablet today, so it runs PINE64's own builds or a community postmarketOS image.

Runs the OS you build

Each row is a recorded observation, not a vendor promise. The evidence level says how far that observation was taken.

No operating system observation is published for this system yet. You can still build an image on console.openfactory.tech and test it before you order.
