Barcode Generator
Generate Code 128, EAN-13 and UPC-A barcodes and download print-ready SVG or PNG labels.
Files stay in this browser tab.
How to use it
Choose a barcode format, enter its content and generate a label. Retail identifiers must have the correct length and check digit.
Worked example
Code 128: OF-PART-00042. EAN-13: 4006381333931.
What to check
Generating a symbol does not assign a GS1 product identifier. Keep the quiet zones clear when printing.
Build a system for this use case
Inventory and label-printing workstation
Example OpenFactory build prompt
Build a useful inventory and label-printing workstation on Ubuntu 24.04 LTS amd64, unless the target installer or embedded board requires its explicitly selected OS.
Use Firefox, CUPS and a local inventory application with Code 128 label preview. Include only the components this workload needs. Use synthetic sample data and placeholders for site-specific domains, authorized SSH public keys and external integration credentials. Create a non-root operator and keep administrative access private. Never put real credentials, patient records or customer data in the image.
Acceptance checks: add a synthetic product, export a label and decode it independently; test a simulated printer, leaving physical printer qualification pending. Boot the actual artifact and repeat relevant health, persistence and access checks after reboot. Keep hardware-dependent checks pending until the specified equipment is attached.
Deliver the bootable image or reproducible deployment recipe, the software inventory and a test report that separates successful assembly from runtime verification. Ask for missing hardware, storage and access details before making irreversible deployment choices. Do not deploy into production or erase an existing disk without an explicit target.Your tool inputs and files are not included in the build prompt. Review the draft and press Send in OpenFactory.
